Do you charge for quotes?
No. Quotes and estimates are complimentary. Tell us about the job by phone or through the enquiry form and we will come back to you.
Which areas do you cover?
We are based in Didcot and cover around 20 miles, including Abingdon, Wallingford, Wantage, Harwell, Oxford, Thame, Witney, Henley-on-Thames, Reading and Newbury.
Are you registered electricians?
Yes. Colin and Carlie are NAPIT registered (registration number 10374), Part P certified and fully insured, so notifiable work is certified and registered with building control for you.
Is it illegal to do electrical work without being registered?
There is no single electrician's licence in the UK, but notifiable work such as a new circuit, a consumer unit change or work in a bathroom must meet Part P of the Building Regulations. That means using a registered competent person who can self-certify it, or notifying building control yourself before the work starts.
Can I ask for a female electrician?
Carlie has been working on the tools alongside Colin for fifteen years and is a qualified electrician in her own right. If you would rather have a female electrician in your home, just say when you get in touch.
Do you do emergency callouts?
We are not a 24-hour service, but during working hours (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm) we will do our best to get to urgent jobs quickly. A call-out fee applies to emergency work where you need someone out straight away.
